Tranexamic acid has the following applications/functions:
Formerly a blood coagulation drug, has the function of reducing melanocytes
1. Tranexamic acid can reduce skin darkening caused by ultraviolet rays. The influence of ultraviolet rays, drugs, free radicals, hormones and other factors will stimulate the activity of tyrosinase, increase the amount of melanin protein and darken the complexion. Once the melanocytes are stimulated, they will continue to produce melanin for 28 days, so that the skin tone will continue to deepen. The test results prove that tranexamic acid reduces skin darkening caused by ultraviolet rays by more than 30%.
2. Tranexamic acid reduces pigmentation caused by inflammation. Prevent the activity of inflammatory protein-cytoplasmin, avoid melanin precipitation caused by microvascular bleeding and inflammation. It also reduces the activity of tyrosinase and reduces the production of melanin. It has anti-inflammatory and whitening effects to avoid skin darkening.
